making bikes pt 2

traffic bikes has a wonderful computer program which enabled me to merely print out the tube angles... so here are some pics of some marked tubes... this is actually a very quick process but since my tubes are too long for the size frames i'm making the butts on the tubes arent long enough... so i'm reordering the right size tubes for one frame and using what ive got for the other... its not really proper to do this, and we have a debate going in wonderment of if having the butts extend past the lugs will really make a difference or not on the small frames as i'm merely a recreational rider... anyways,

how to braze a bike frame

my mom who has a swan as her vehicle

The Goddess Saraswati is often depicted as a beautiful, white-skinned woman dressed in pure white. She is often seated on a white lotus (although Her mythical representation is believed to be a swan), which symbolizes that she is founded in the experience of the Absolute Truth. Thus, she not only has the knowledge but also the experience of the Highest Reality.
She is mainly associated with the color white, which signifies the purity of true knowledge. Occasionally, however, she is also associated with the colour yellow, the colour of the flowers of the mustard plant that bloom at the time of her festival in the spring.
She is not adorned heavily with jewels and gold but is dressed modestly — perhaps representing her preference of knowledge over worldly material things.
She is generally shown to have four arms, which represent the four aspects of human personality in learning: mind, intellect, alertness, and ego.
She is shown to hold the following in her hands:
A book, which is the sacred Vedas, representing the universal, divine, eternal, and true knowledge as well as her perfection of the sciences and the scriptures.
A mala (rosary) of crystals, representing the power of meditation and spirituality.
A pot of sacred water, representing creative and purificatory powers.
The vina, a musical instrument that represents her perfection of all arts and sciences. Saraswati is also associated with the love for the rhythm of music, representing all emotions and feelings expressed in speech or music.
A 'white swan' (Sanskrit: hamsa) is often located next to her feet. The swan symbolizes discrimination between the good and the bad or the eternal and the evanescent. Due to her association with the swan, Goddess Saraswati is also referred to as Hamsa-vahini, which means "she who has a swan as her vehicle".
She is usually depicted near a flowing river, which may be related to her early history as a river goddess. The river associates her with flow, and describes her love of flow in all experiences.
Sometimes a peacock is shown beside the goddess. The peacock represents arrogance and pride over its beauty, and by having a peacock as one of her animal representations, the Goddess teaches Hindus not to be concerned with external appearance and to be wise regarding the eternal truth.

new name!
just for fun

Sat Nam, dear sister in divine.

Your request for a spiritual name has been gratefully received.

You have been blessed to live as Siri Nishan Kaur, which means the Princess/Lioness who represents the greatness of God.

Siri means 'great'. Nishan means 'sign', or 'represents'. Kaur means the 'Princess/Lioness of God' who walks with grace and power throughout her life. Kaur is a name that Yogi Bhajan gave to all women. He taught that every woman has the potential to attain a true state of grace and power, and he encouraged each woman to manifest that potential.

Your Soul is your true self, it is God within you. As Siri Nishan Kaur you should show yourself as this infinity within you. Live your truth.

The power of a Spiritual Name is that the more you speak and hear your name, the more it permeates into your being…and the more you will experience its Nadh (inner sound current), bringing you into harmony with your destiny.

Look deeply into yourself with the intention of discovering your true self and becoming one with the One. Become a radiant light that is a guide for everyone.

May God bless you and guide you, now and forever. In the Name of the Cosmos which prevails through everyBODY, and the Holy Nam which holds the world.

Many blessings,

Nirinjan Kaur

"A good deed is when we confirm our consciousness, and a bad deed is when we betray our consciousness. It doesn't matter what our consciousness is, but we must decide, channel it, and live to it. There is nothing good and nothing bad, but the thinking makes it so." Yogi Bhajan
so here are my first beeswax candles...

making beeswax candles

making candles is so easy its ridiculous. I ordered 1lb of raw beeswax, melted it, set up my molds, poured the wax and now my amazing beeswax candles are cooling outside. The larger the candle the more difficult it is to cool it supposedly so as they take 8 hours to cool i'll take pics tomorrow of the finished product...

why beeswax? because it is the *only* candle wax that cleans the air and doesnt release toxins and soot. just an FYI

i like making candles! thanks chandra for being my motivator as i've been meaning to do this forevs!
